First Baptist Riverdale shows love for the people of Riverdale and Clayton County in many ways. For example, we provide meeting spaces for local Narcotics Anonymous and Alcoholics Anonymous support groups. We also host a bi-annual Kids’ Clothes Swap to help families with clothing needs. And since 2022, we have partnered with M25, a non-profit ministry that shares the gospel with apartment community residents using the open door of providing them free barbecue meals. We have also partnered with local schools such as Church Street, Lake Ridge, and Riverdale Elementary Schools. We have a heart for Riverdale!
As part of fulfilling the Lord’s command to make disciples, the members and friends of First Baptist Riverdale express their love for Jesus Christ by being involved in many local and national mission projects. Projects have included supporting Calvary Refuge Shelter in Forest Park; providing Christmas food baskets for needy families; supporting the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and the Cooperative Program, the Southside Baptist Network; and, raising funds for the Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong missionary offerings through the North American Missions Board.
