A Heart for Riverdale

First Baptist Riverdale shows love for the people of Riverdale in many ways. We founded the “I Pray for Riverdale” Community Prayer Ministry, bringing the gift of prayer - door to door - to the people of Riverdale. An emergency food pantry helps our neighbors in need. The church also provides meeting space for Narcotics Anonymous, Alcoholics Anonymous, and other community groups.

A Heart for Missions

The members and friends of First Baptist Riverdale express their love for God by being involved in many local and national mission projects.  Projects have included collecting school supplies for local children; coats for a mission center in Kentucky; supporting Calvary Refuge Shelter in Forest Park; providing Christmas food baskets for needy families; and supporting children through Angel Tree, a ministry of Operation Prison Fellowship.

A Heart for Seniors

Senior adults play an important part in the life of the First Baptist Riverdale. Seniors are active in every part of the church’s ministries, from Sunday School to the missions organizations. Our “Seniors Only” group, the LLL Club (Living Long and Loving It!) usually meets the second Tuesday of each month, excluding June and July.

A Heart for Children and Youth

We have a special love for children and young people and show our love by being actively involved in our local schools, offering weekly ministries for children and teens, and providing summer ministries like Vacation Bible School and Day Camp. We are also a host site for local Girl Scout Troop 16304.
